Nano Bead vs Tape Hair Extensions

The invisible and the visible. Hands down one of the number one most spotted hair extensions in women's hair are tape hair extensions. Unfortunately, due to their bigger size attachment tops, they can easily poke through or bulge outwards when sitting against the scalp. NOT recommended for ladies with finer hair. Tapes were not created with finer hair in mind.

For example, in the tape hair extension pic you can evidently see the tape clearly and this poor woman could not see the back of her head and just how visible they really were. She came to see me to change over to Nano bead hair extensions for a more discreet natural look.

Discretion

The Nano bead hair extension beads are so tiny the beads are as small as a ballpoint pen tip. That's more like it! Totally undetectable with hair up or down. Nano bead hair extensions far excel that of the tape in their ability to sit so flat against a client's scalp and not be visible when pulling hair back. Often ladies with tape hair extensions try avoiding tying their hair up due to not being able to hide the tape extension tops. The tops of tape have no flexibility and can only sit flatter when worn down and in thicker haired clients for coverage. That is why Nano wins my vote for the most discreet hair extension method on the market.

Application and removal

Nano bead also does not use any glue. But tape does have glue as you place the natural hair sandwiched between two sticky tapes and the removal process is pretty abrasive to the natural hair. Tape removal involves spraying alcohol on the tape and pulling apart the tape from each other while your natural hair is stuck in the middle. I would stay clear of tape hair extensions for those of you with finer hair, as it's too rough for the hair to handle. Nano bead hair extensions removal process simply includes reshaping the bead open with a special tool and it just slides off the hair with no damage to the natural hair whatsoever. Weight

The Nano bead hair extensions are amazingly lightweight. You are not getting tension or weight pulling on your natural hair at the roots. Tape hair extensions, however, are placed into the hair in a much bigger heavier piece. The bigger the hair extensions and the more hair at that attachment point, the more tension and pull on your natural hair. As you begin to shed hair over time, you will have less hair to support the weight of tape hair extensions and your natural hair can begin to get damaged as a result. Nano bead hair extensions only weigh 1 gram and are way more comfortable for your natural hair than the tape method. I highly recommend Nano bead hair extensions over tape hair extensions any day.
